A-SPEC Controller

We developed a system and controller for experiencing pedestrian flow simulations. This was a project to introduce pedestrian flow simulations within the system at the exhibition of LIXIL's automated design service, 'A-SPEC'. The simulation drawing system was created with Rhinoceros / Grasshopper. Wireless communication with the controller allows for numerical input into Grasshopper. The attractive device and the experience of directly manipulating the simulation with one's hands contributed to drawing interest to the A-Spec exhibition. Nomena was responsible for the production of the controller device and the development of wireless communication.
人流シミュレーションを体験できるシステムとコントローラの開発を行った。LIXILの自動設計サービス「A-SPEC」の展示において、システム内の人流シミュレーションを紹介するための企画。シミュレーション描画システムはRhinoceros / Grasshopperで作成。コントローラとの無線通信で、Grasshopperに数値を入力する。思わず触れたくなるデバイスと、シミュレーションを直接手で動かす体験により、A-Spec展示に興味を引き付ける一助となった。コントローラデバイス制作と無線通信の開発はnomenaが担当。
